I have never dealt with a group of so called professionals, who had no clue what they were doing. Moved mom from Saskatoon. She required med assist in the facility she was in. Initially, while we waited for an Alberta Health number, we had to pay the facility to give her meds. Once we recieved a AHS # she was eligible to have Home Care give her meds. No matter how many times it was explained to this pharmacy, they insisted they couldn't provide blister packs, it had to be meds in a roll. LFS personal care attendants can only give from a blister pack. Pharmasave told me I would have to transfer to another pharmacy. Home Care assured me that they did in fact provide blister packs. When this pharmacy was questioned on the disparity of fact, they do in fact do blister packs. They simply stopped listening once they heard the name of the facility. They do not understand the levels of care in this city, and that there are two different systems of providing clients med assist. The client , in independent living,( lodge level) are entitled to med assist free of charge, from home care, provided they have a AHS number. Mom had to incur additional costs due to these bumbling fools
